Welcome to the Blackboard Faculty Resource Center for SHSU Online. Blackboard is looking a little different than it used to. SHSU has successfully upgraded to Blackboard 9.1.8, which gives you a new and improved user interface as well as new options for integrating content from the web and creating interactive assignments for your students.
This Resource center contains 5 different areas that will help you in your quest to become more blackboard literate.

Building a Course. Ready to add content to your Blackboard course site? On this page, you will find a link to a document containing the information you need to get started. Learn how to navigate Blackboard's user interface, manage users, add and edit course content, copy materials from one course to another, and more.
Communications. E-mail the students, groups and Teaching Assistants in your course. Messaging allows you to send messages inside Blackboard they only appear in the course where they are contained. The attached document will introduce you to the communication tools inside Blackboard Learn.
Getting started with Assessment Tools. Blackboard allows you to create tests, quizzes, assignments and surveys to facilitate high-stakes assessment or simply to provide students with guided practice.
