About the Conference

Welcome to the Fourth Annual SHSU Online Teaching and Learning Conference. The Teaching and Learning conference is designed to bring together faculty interested in utilizing tools, best practices and emerging technology to improve and advance online teaching and learning. Thanks to the large turnout at the last conference, this year’s event has been expanded across two days, and will be held March 26-27, 2015 in the Lowman Student Center at Sam Houston State University.

Sam Houston State University is incredibly rich in tradition, and the theme of this year’s conference is “Building Our Future on the Legacy of the Past.” It will be an event that celebrates and honors our history, and how that history informs the future of online education. In keeping with that theme, SHSU is proud to announce that it has engaged renowned futurist Bryan Alexander to deliver the conference keynote. Dr. Alexander has also agreed to lead a breakout session and give a conference wrap-up.

We hope you will join us this spring for an event to remember. Registration is now open, sign up today!
